What experience do I need to climb at Evolution?
You don't need any experience or special equipment to climb at
Evolution. The ground is protected by a large 1-piece crash pad and
the rules and code of conduct of Evolution act to try to minimise
and danger.
Is it difficult?
Climbing is tricky to start with, but the more you climb the better
you will get. Our route setters aim to set a wide range of routes
ranging from really easy to really hard with lots in-between. This
means there is something for everyone and we cater to all aspects of
climbing.

What is the minimum and maximum age limit?
From 6 - 96! Unfortunately we cannot
except any child under the age of 6, except Friday afternoon when
under 6's are welcome to come and climb from 2pm - 6pm at the price
of £8.
I'm Under 16, can I climb on my own?
As a under 16 year old you are not allowed to
climb by yourself. If you want the ability to do so you will have to
either achieve a Level 3 Academy grade or fill in
this
form and show your competency to an instructor over 5 visits.
I want a birthday party for my child, how do I book one and what
is involved in a party? Birthday Parties are based on 10
participants for 1.5 hour party and priced at £145. The party will
take place in the roped area of our barn with one instructor
facilitating the session. If time allows then some bouldering and
games and tunnel exploration may be possible too! For a full

I want to entertain my kids during the holidays, what do you
offer? We run holiday courses at Evolution and Harrisons rocks.
From Tuesday to Friday we can keep the kids busy with climbing on
both indoor and outdoor venues as well as a woodland adventure day.
Tuesday is Woodland
Adventure, Wednesday is Introduction to Indoor Climbing,
Thursday is Introduction to Outdoor Climbing and Friday is Outdoor
Improvers course. Prices are £35 per day, £64 for two day, £90 for

What does it cost to climb at Evolution? A
Price list is available here.
For non-members it is £10 per adult and £8 per child. For members it
is £7 per adult and £5 per child per visit. Membership is £20 per
year and includes one entry.
What is the bouldering academy and how does it work?
Bouldering Academy is aimed at children from age 6 to 15. For 2
hours every Sunday morning from 10am - 12pm they will get tuition
from Evolution Staff who really know
what they are talking about! All this and the chance to work towards
awards and gradings for the Evolution Certificates. The price is
£7.50and shoe hire is just £1 for the Academy session. To view the
