Here at Evolution, we pride ourselves on the
quality of instruction, help and advice given at all times. Below is
a little about all the staff, their experience and favourite
climbing venues across the world. All Evolutions regular instructors
are SPA qualified and in house trained to the highest standards, The
Tullis family were the first instructors in Southern England and are
on the 3rd generation now - 50 years on! No other company even comes
close to the quality and experience of Evolution and
Soft Rock
Chris Tullis,
- SPA, 1st Aid
Chris has nearly 40 years experience in the
climbing industry. He has particular skills relating to teaching
climbing to young people with special needs and a wider experience
in the teaching of all aspects of outdoor education. He is also the
warden of Harrisons Rocks on behalf of the
British
Mountaineering Council.
Adam Cordell -
SPA, 1st Aid
Adam has been climbing for 7
years, and although based in the South East nowadays, most of his
climbing was on the Peak District gritstone in Derbyshire. He has
climbed in various countries over the world and loves to combine
travelling and climbing. He has experience teaching many outdoor
activities to wide variety of students.
Matt Tullis
- SPA
trained, 1st Aid
Matt has been climbing from the age of 12, and
being from a climbing family has progressed very well through the
grades. A former SIBL champion, he climbs a lot on sandstone and loves bouldering in
Fontainebleau in France. Hoping to
pass his SPA early in 2011.
Ian Bull
- SPA, 1st
Aid
Ian has been climbing for 16 years, mainly in South East England.
However he loves a trip to Dartmoor and the Peak District for
bouldering. Ian has been working for Evolution since 2005 and will
probably still be here in 2055.
Barnaby Ventham
Barney is the youngest member of staff, and
works mainly weekends. He is former and current
SIBL champion for
under 16's and climbing very hard on the sandstone crags of
Harrisons, Bowles and High Rocks.
